Expert Advice

  1. Don’t keep your dolls on display in direct sunlight – particularly Pedigrees and Celluloids – the damage is irreversible

  2. When packing your dolls away take the clothes off and store them separately in a sealed vacuum bag to avoid the need for moth protection – never put moth balls near your dolls or their clothes

  3. Do not store any of your dolls in plastic bags - they need to breathe! Put them carefully in an old pillow case

  4. When cleaning your dolls use warm water – never use soap. Dry thoroughly and quickly. Be careful not to get water into eyes or mouths

  5. Don't dispose of your doll’s original clothes and wigs, no matter their condition. Your doll will be worth so much more if you retain them, even sealed separately in a quality bag
